The Museum of American Poetics
"The poetry of the future is opening its doors."
The Museum of American Poetics (MAP) is a unique amalgam of poets, students, teachers, scholars, editors, publishers, literary centers, and web-designers dedicated to the persistent lucid spirit of bards and their contributions to planetary consciousness. The Museum features a vast array of multimedia investigations that trace the finest in original American Poetics. Since coming online in 1998, MAP has documented major trends in Postbeat poetry through its collection of online exhibits, annual Napalm Health Spa journal, poetics transmissions and growing video channel. Celebrating the diversity of poetries leading up to the Beat Generation, MAP has expanded its coverage of world poetry, with special emphasis on international poets on the front lines against oppression. Dedicated to the energy and vitality that characterizes the distinct shapeliness of ars poetica, MAP brings together past and living masters, periods, movements and schools.
