Spanish wine in a goblet

engulfs my face      I’m late     chair next to Anne is open         she opens

more than one scarf        Spring starts with Anne’s birthday

“Aren’t you cold?”  my blazer is

blue &  gray wool     scarf is from

Dress Shoppe II    made in India 1908

later it falls from her     she calls    I trace her steps   

 

find it

 

“I FUCKING FOUND IT”

      “YOU FUCKING FOUND IT”

 

on steps of a brownstone on 10th

 

it’s that shop on 2nd with yellow trim

 

leave my address on a postcard    proprietor

says      “for a love note”
