what

does

she

look

like

with

her

hair

down

when we met in the bookstore aisle

it was pulled back against her skull

tight, obviously dark blond

she was thin

wearing black

large blue eyes

seemed pleasant enough

when we shared hot tea

but i kept wondering about her hair

and if i’d ever get to untie the knot

that she seemed to create

so carefully
