DAVE ROSKOS
Childhood Flashback #2
brushing my
girlfriend’s hair
I think back to
a time
when you let two
men on top of you
one after the
other
& how you
wanted the money upfront
like any smart
prostitute
and how my anger
grew
as one of them
walked out of your bedroom
with his
workboots in his hand
zipping his fly
and how my anger
grew
as he went
through our kitchen cabinets
& dresser
drawers & stole a camera
& some
eight-track tapes
while his buddy
was still in the room fucking you
and how I came
into your room
after they had
cum & gone
and how you sat
on the edge of your bed
brushing out
your long red hair
and how sad it
was
they didn’t
stick around
and do it for
you
and how they
probably
didn’t even kiss
you
goodbye
