ANTLER
Mother Hummingbird Thought
The hummingbird
hovers momentarily
in
the rusty hulk of a car
that
plunged off the highway
into
the deep canyon years ago
and
no one knows about.
She perches on
the skull of the driver
and
thinks
perhaps
one of these eyeholes
would
be a safe place
for
a nest.
