SKY SMITH

Osama bin Laden

I have a rat in my house.
Once he chewed wires to make darkness come with a falling Sun.
Some say that's when darkness should come.

I put poison everywhere.
I am covered in blisters; bruised by the traps
failing to catch him

I set loose a mongoose...
to scare him out of his hole.
Sniff him out
snuff him out—
a natural predator I am told.

Now I live in a house full of wild animals.
We are celebrating the death of a nasty rat.
I am trampled; a beast underfoot.
