VICENTE GERBASI

Solitudes in Spain

I am alone when someone cries in the planet

Why does the planet cry when I am alone?

The rocks are alone with their ewes.

The wind passes through hills and houses

There are lonely people and dark corners

And I, alone, see the clouds pass by

over the dusty hamlets.
