I never forget the way I came.

Extreme weather, drones,

Slippery moss where there is no rain.

The house with no beams, no walls.

“Heavily damaged” changed everything.

“As you always do” changed everything.

Experiments detonate reality bombs.

Mourners gather in a universe like ours.

Ransom doesn’t want us to enter her research lab.

“You take orders from me now” changed everything.

Not starving changed everything.

“I taught them those algorithms ten years ago.”

The dead dream they are breathing,

No more tangled, hung up mind.

A million things leave no trace,

Beautiful, whole, without beginning or end.
