999 Hours

 

times were rough.

poverty was coming on strong.

more and more dead-ends.

people awake in their beds all night.

i know what they’re thinking.

because i can’t sleep either.

remembering someone they loved

so much more than money.

it was a common dream in these times

that helped us stick together.
