SLIPS AWAY
As the world you
knew slips away,
The road gets
narrow, no room to turn back.
The stranger
comes closer in a crown of black.
Following your
own heart till the last note fades,
As the world you
knew slips away.
As the world you
know slips away,
The teapot tips
and the truth pours out.
The breath flies
on, the sign goes dark.
Pain so hot it
can’t be contained or obeyed,
As the world you
knew slips away.
As the world you
knew slips away,
With a faith and
belief that nobody can see,
Everything it’s own striking peculiarity,
Doors with no
locks, spirits without decay,
As the world you
know slips away.
As the world you
know slips away,
The hardest
times vanish like a carnival.
The kindest
heart grows impeccable.
Sometimes the
feeling’s just a dark ache,
As the world you
knew slips away.
As the world I
knew slips away,
The one who
loves as much as I is leaving
For
the prettiest place right before my eyes.
My last resort
just keeps on crumbling away
As the world I
knew slips away.
